Lake Washington Press is an authority publishing institution based in Seattle, Washington. We publish books and license them to licensed professionals for distribution within defined territories. Lake Washington Press is a publisher only. We are not a real estate broker, mortgage lender, financial advisor, insurance carrier, or law firm, and nothing we publish constitutes advice in any of those fields.
This website is intended for licensed real estate and financial professionals who are considering or hold a territory license with Lake Washington Press. Access to personalized reservation pages is available by invitation only, via a unique access token issued by LWP. Unauthorized use of another agent's access token is prohibited.
By using this website, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and, where applicable, hold an active professional license in your state.
Territory licenses are governed by the License Agreement, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Submitting a reservation request and acknowledging the License Agreement constitutes your agreement to be bound by its terms upon payment and activation. A binding agreement is executed upon receipt of payment and completion of co-branding intake.
Territory availability is displayed in real time but is not guaranteed until a license is activated and payment is confirmed. LWP reserves the right to decline any reservation request at its sole discretion.
All content on this website — including text, design, graphics, book content, and the LWP mark — is owned by Lake Washington Press and protected by United States copyright law. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any LWP content without prior written permission.
Licensed agents retain ownership of their name, photograph, and licensed firm name. The co-branded edition produced under a license agreement may not be reproduced, resold, or distributed after license expiration.
Nothing on this website or in any Lake Washington Press publication constitutes legal, financial, real estate, tax, or other professional advice. The books we publish are informational resources for general audiences. They do not create a professional relationship between the reader and Lake Washington Press, or between the reader and the licensed agent whose name appears on the book.
Agents are responsible for ensuring that the content they distribute complies with their professional obligations, including fair housing laws, RESPA, and any applicable state or federal regulations.
This website and all LWP services are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. LWP does not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that territory availability information is accurate at any given moment. LWP does not guarantee any business outcome from distributing co-branded books.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lake Washington Press shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or any LWP service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
LWP's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or any license agreement shall not exceed the license fee paid by you in the current license term.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lake Washington Press and its officers, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, or damage — including reasonable attorneys' fees — arising from your use of LWP services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights in connection with the distribution of co-branded books.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by JAMS in King County, Washington, under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules. Judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Lake Washington Press.
LWP may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to active licensees by email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
